Course Description:
The basic
course will start participants working with Windows
98 even if they have only a little familiarity with computers
and its basic terminology. They will be taught step-by-step instructions
for the operations involved in running application programs and
managing their computer systems,
along with clear exlpanations of essential concepts.
The course
in Word, Microsoft's
word-processing program, is
designed to help the participants create, edit, and enhance letters,
reports and tables. They will become familiar with Word's desktop
publishing tools and automated features.
The course
in Excel, Microsoft's
spreadsheet program, is designed
to help the participants record, analyze and present quantitative
information. Excel makes it easy to rewrite financial reports, draw
charts, create budgets, and accomplish a number of tasks in a fraction
of the time it would take using pen, paper, and calculator.
An introduction
to Powerpoint, the
presentation graphic's program
of software of Microsoft, is included in the course. Powerpoint
makes it easy to generate and organize ideas for a slide show presentation.
